Seventh District Projects Included in Water Resources Bill 

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congressman Collin C. Peterson (D-7th District) announced that several Seventh District water projects were included during passage today of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) in the U.S. House of Representatives.

WRDA authorizes the bulk of Army Corps of Engineers water projects, and usually goes before Congress every two years.

“In my district there are a lot of communities who rely on this funding to move forward on flood control and other water projects,” Peterson said. “Although this funding keeps getting reduced by the current Administration, I’ve worked hard to build a strong relationship with the committee chairman who decides which projects are in or out.”

These projects are subject to inclusion in the Senate version of the bill before heading to the President’s desk.

The Seventh District projects included in the House WRDA bill are:
